What is the Drinks Collective Show?
Drinks Collective is Australia’s event dedicated to the buying and selling of liquor for the on-premise liquor industry. In its second year, the show will bring around 4,000 qualified buyers looking to differentiate their drinks offer.
When and where is Drinks Collective taking place?
Drinks Collective 2018 will be held in the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, from 10-12 September 2018.
Monday 10 September 2018: 11am – 6pm
Tuesday 11 September 2018: 11am – 6pm
Wednesday 12 September 2018: 11am – 6pm
Who can attend?
Drinks Collective is a trade only event for professionals in the on-premise liquor industry working in the foodservice, hospitality, retail and liquor sectors. As this is a business event for those people working in the industry, we ask visitors not to bring anyone under the age of 18 to the show. All visitors to Drinks Collective must be over the age of 18 – proof of age and employment in the industry will be requested at the entry.
How can I attend Drinks Collective? Is it free?
The easiest way to attend the show is to register online – by registering online you will be able to fast track your entry and save the $30 door charge.
Online registration for the event is free.
Once you register online, you will be sent an email confirmation with a barcode which you can use to print your entry badge onsite. Each visitor is required to complete an individual registration, in order to generate a personalised entry badge. Your badge will give you entry to Drinks Collective 2018 on any of the days during show time.
Can I register my colleagues too?
Yes, there is the option to register up to 5 additional colleagues during the registration process. Each visitor will receive a unique email confirmation to the email address provided.

Do I need a Visa for Australia?
Most visitors will require a Visa to enter Australia. Applications need to be made well in advance at the Australian Consulate in your own country or in some cases can be made online. It is not part of our company policy to provide invitation letters to visitors wishing to attend our shows. For more information on applying for a Visa visit the Department of Immigration website.
Can students attend?
Students enrolled at a tertiary level or registered apprentices may attend the show if they have the appropriate student identity card and must be over 18 years of age. All students will need to register online. Secondary school students will not be admitted, regardless of any courses they are studying. All visitors to Drinks Collective must be over the age of 18 – proof of age and employment in the industry may be requested at the entry.
Students must be mindful that Drinks Collective is a business event. Exhibitors are present to engage in business conversations. Please be considerate of their time and of any promotional material available.
Will I need to bring identification with me?
Yes. Proof of industry involvement may be requested at the registration counters or the entrance, and can include:
- A business card in your name; or
- Employee verification on company letterhead; or
- Evidence of membership of a relevant professional or industry association.
As visitors to Drinks Collective must be over the age of 18, a proof of age may be requested at the entrance and can include:
- A current Australian passport or other country’s passport; or
- A current NSW, interstate or overseas driver or motor cycle driver licence (or interstate equivalent); or
- An interstate Proof of Age Card.
